CONVERSATIONS II, 2011.

Conversations II is an installation work that is in its early stages. It is a work about grief, memory, removal or separation and death.

The completed installation will encompass a series of 200+ screenprints. These screenprints are made from photographs of my Mother which span the course of her life between 1955 and 2008. In the completed work, the screenprints will be installed on four-surrounding walls in an enclosed room. They will be displayed in a wallpaper type fashion so that none of the room's original wall-space will be visible.

In each print, I have been experimenting with removing different levels of color from the original photographic image: cyan, magenta, yellow and black. The prints are made by using only 1, 2 or 3 of the colors from the original photograph.
